Watchers

  • Mood: Artistic
1. What's your real name?
I never give out my real name online. Mainly because I hate my last name. My first name though is Ronald, Ron for short.

2. How old are you?
I'm 23.

3. Where do you go to for school?
I'm a junior at Columbia College Chicago.

4. What's your major?
Fine Arts - Illustration.

5. How long have you been drawing?
I've doodled on the walls with crayon before as a kid. I drew some stuff starting from around the time I was 12 until 14, then stopped for a year or so and began drawing shortly before I turned 16, and haven't stopped since.

6. What do you use to draw with?
For traditional art, I have a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil for simple pencil sketches.  For inks I use COPIC Multi Liner pens.  Rarely will I color using traditional media, but when I do I use either COPIC markers or Prismacolor pencils.

7. What about your digital art?
Currently I use Photoshop CS3 and switch between a Wacom Graphire3 tablet with a drawing area of 6x8 inches.

8. Why do you have a lot of fanart in your gallery?
Because, for one reason or another, I like that manga/anime/game.

9. Is it OK if I color something in your gallery?
By all means, go right ahead and do so. For some of my art pieces, I have submitted the images in a reduced state from their original size (takes up less screen space). If you want the original lineart, either e-mail me or send me a note asking for the original size, along with the e-mail address to send it to. Also, I'd like to see the colored piece once you are done with it, so e-mail or send me a note with a link to the colored work. I'd also appreciate it if there was some sort of note/header on the image or in the comments box that the lineart was done by me (possibly with a link to my dA account).

10. Do you take requests or commissions? Or how about an art trade or a collaboration on a drawing?
Right now I am only accepting commissions, with the rates at the bottom of this journal entry, as well as payment option(s).

11. What will you not draw?
I will not draw mechas, chibis (super-deformed characters), or hardcore hentai. I will draw stuff that's more hardcore than my nude art... But not much hardcore than that.

12. How can we contact you?
I have an AIM account. For those who didn't notice on my front page, my AIM name is KinieWings05. My e-mail account is kiniewings@yahoo.com. If you're a member of dA, feel free to send me a note. I check my e-mail about once a day, and I'm usually on AIM from 6 PM - 1 AM CST Monday - Friday.

13. Do you go to any conventions? If so, which one(s)?
I go to Anime Central every year but I never can get a table so I go as a simple convention-goer.

Commission Rates:
$10-20 (USD) for a pencil sketch (price varies depending upon time spent on it).
$12-25 (USD) for an inked drawing (price varies depending upon time spent on it).
$15-30 (USD) for a colored pencil drawing (price varies depending upon time spent on it).
$20-40 (USD) for a color markered drawing (price varies depending upon time spent on it).
$25-50 (USD) for a CG (price varies depending upon time spent on it). If you wish for a print of this CG, then it will cost an extra $5-10 (USD), depending upon how much it costs to make the print. And if you live outside of the continental U.S., it will cost another $5-10 for shipping charges.

Payment can be made through checks or through PayPal. Payment must be made in advance. If I cannot complete the request I will refund your payment in full.  When the piece is completed I will send you the individual .jpg and will make an effort to mail you the original piece of art if it is made with traditional media.  If it's in the continental US then there will not be an extra charge for shipping it, but overseas shipping will be another $5-10 charge.

Erm, hello. I know this is terribly sudden, but I have a request, and I heard that you are both willing to take them and good at drawing people. I need to keep my cards close to my chest for now, but let's just say that this image requires quite a lot of robes, as well as a hood and staff. I hope you read this, because to make my latest project a success, I need a picture, and there simply aren't any fitting ones online yet!

Gratefully yours, Cantus.

Well, I will take a request, but I also do commissions. If you want me to do a simple pencil drawing of a person, based upon what you described (of it being a person in robes, a hood and a staff) it would probably cost at most $15 USD, depending upon the level of detail you want.
